== <b>Reading the Degree Audit and Academic Record</b> ==
This will show you how to navigate to your Degree Audit, as well as how to interpret some items on it. This will also show you how to navigate to your transcript and class schedule.

Login at [http://campuscafe.artacademy.edu campuscafe.artacademy.edu] using your Single Sign-On credentials (AAC email login). Your “Home Page” is your student dashboard with six orange buttons on a teal background.
<br>
*To get to your degree audit, navigate to the menu icon (3 lines) and click on “My Info” and choose “Degree Audit”.
*<b>Important to keep in mind: Courses that you complete are only able to be applied to ONE requirement in a degree audit. 
*If you take a class that is able to satisfy more than one requirement, you must choose where you want it to apply, then take an additional class that can satisfy the remaining requirement(s).
*Your degree audit is what the AAC uses to determine if you have completed all requirements for your major and any minors you have declared, so it is important that it is accurate and you review it each semester.</b>
**If you have declared a major, you can leave both “optional parameters” blank and simply click on “Get Degree Audit”.
**If you are “Undecided” or are thinking about changing majors, or simply don’t recall, you can choose which major you would like to build a degree audit for under the “Select an Alternate Major” button.
**Once you are ready, click “Get Degree Audit”
*The degree audit is broken out into the following sections:
**<b>First-Year Experience</b>
***These are the requirements that students typically take in their first year
**<b>Major Requirements</b>
***These are the requirements specific to your chosen Major that must be completed - a total of 15 credit hours
**<b>Studio Electives</b>
***These are additional studio electives (outside of those required for your major) that you must fulfill
***There are not any specific courses in this section that you have to take, just any courses that fit into those categories (courses that start with those 2-letter prefixes)
**<b>Liberal Arts</b>
***These are additional liberal arts electives that you must fulfill
***Similar to the studio electives section, there are not specific courses that you must take, but they must fit into the defined categories
****AH2XX Level Elective is any art history class that is a 200 level, or higher.
****Courses below AH200 are not eligible (AH104/AH105 are not able to apply here, but AH225, or AH313 are applicable)
****AH3XX Level Elective is any art history class that is a 300 level, or higher.
****Courses below AH300 are not eligible
****Critical Thinking Elective—choose 1 from the following:
*****AH304 Doing it in the Dark: New Approaches to Art History & Visual Culture HU201 Aesthetics
*****HU210 Intro to Philosophy
****The Humanities, Nat. Science and Social Science electives require a course with that specific prefix (HU, NS, SS respectively) to satisfy those requirements
****Liberal Arts Electives are made up any extra courses of the above defined that are not being using to fulfill any other requirements in the section
**<b>Professional Practice</b>
***PC201 is typically taken in the spring of your sophomore year
***PC301 is typically taken in the spring of your junior year (before beginning your Senior Year Experience Courses)
**<b>Senior Year Experience</b>
***These courses are typically taken in your final year, or when you are ready to begin your Senior Project that builds into your Senior Show in the spring.
**<b>Courses not used on this degree audit</b>
***These are courses that are not applied to the above sections, may ultimately not apply to your requirements for the current degree audit you are viewing.
***There can be many reasons that a course may appear here and is not cause for any immediate alarms.
***A class can appear here if a failing grade was received, if you have met all of the requirements that the class can normally be applied toward, or it could be a technical reason on the part of the software. 
***Please speak to your academic advisor if you feel that a course should be applied somewhere in your degree audit.
*The requirements on the left make up the major or minor for the given degree audit as well as how many credits are required for each requirement.
**Some requirements are specific classes (refer to the “First-Year Experience”), while others are elective requirements that require courses to be from a particular category (refer to “Studio Electives”).
**The number to the left of the requirements tell you how many credit hours are needed to meet the requirement. Many of them require 3 credits, but some may require more, such as the Studio Elective section
**As you enroll and complete courses, they populate onto the right-half of the page, next to the requirement that it can satisfy. 
**As you satisfy requirements, the “Met?” column will change from “No” to “Yes”. 
**This can only happen AFTER you earn a final, passing grade for the class at the end of the semester.
*At the bottom of the degree audit, you have a summary of course work, as well as a legend to define any special characters used.

== <b>Academic Records</b> ==
From the “home page”, click on “Grades & Transcripts”, and then click submit. This generates your transcript. This is an unofficial copy, but shows the same information as the official transcript. You can view and use this for anything you may need from scholarship applications, to verifying your status as a student in many cases.

Also from the home page, you can click on “Class Schedule” and view your class schedule for your current, or any previous semester.
